This boat has a bit of pedigre as it served as a practice boat for Madrigali/Massey/Barton during their metal bid in the 1996 Olympics. They won the bronze that year. In 2000 Madrigali replaced his crew and again made it to the olympics, this time with Craig Healy, another past owner, as Madrigali/Healy/Jordan.

This boat has competed and placed well in several important regattas:

This boat was measured in 1982. Craig Healy acquired it in 1987, chartering it from the SYC Soling Syndicate/San Francisco Bay Sailing Association. The boat was sold to Kent Massey in 1993, who owned it during the Olympic bid of 1996. After the Solings were dropped from the Olympics Massey donated the boat to the Belvedere Cove Foundation who sold it to Will Blozan in 2003.
