The dates of our championship coincide with two other significant events in Mission Bay, San Diego. First is the Crew Classic, a large crew rowing event. If you are a morning person, you might enjoy walking, biking or driving over to the back side of our bay to see this very different, but just as dramatic, display of boats and teams from all over the country. It is one of the greatest crew rowing events in the United States. Over the years, entrants have included teams from Harvard, Yale, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Purdue, Ohio State, Navy, Georgetown, Clemson, Virginia, Duke, Colorado, Texas, SMU, Arizona State and Washington among others. The second event is Spring break. We are a major destination for college students around the country.
